Tutorial: Connecting To 8BitMUSH Using 8BitClient

First download the 8-Bit Client .

After you install it, run it from your start menu.

Once it is running, hit the F12 key and a new window will open:

The first thing you need to do is create a character. To do that enter "create <character name> <character password>" in the white input area on the bottom, and hit enter.

For example:

In the above picture, entering "create Salmon pgr127" and then hitting enter would attempt to create a character with the name Salmon, and the password pgr127.

After creating a character, in the future when you reach the login screen you would type "connect Salmon pgr127" to connect to your previously created character.

After creating your character should now be logged onto 8Bit:

You begin the game in a motel room. Follow the instructions to set up your character, and from there you can begin exploring the virtual world. If you need help with anything feel free to ask on the Newbie Channel by typing +n <question>. Example: +n Help, I'm stuck!
